Claire is a freelance illustrator, living and working in West Sussex, with her family and small dog.
She has had a love of all things art since she can remember. Drawing and painting every spare moment throughout her school years.
Having gained a Degree in Art, she then had a family of four children, returning to education later to study postgraduate Children's Illustration at London Art College.
Her work is created from paintings using household and enamel paints, inks and digital mediums. The focus is nature usually floral or animals, using colour and light to evoke an ethereal feeling. She combine mediums to produce modern illustrations with a traditional feel.
Her experience includes magazine and book illustration, greeting card design, advert illustration, photography backgrounds, logo design, private commissions, fine art, fashion, retail and prints.
Claire also designs and runs art workshops for the learning and community at Pallant House Gallery in Chichester. This enables her to share some of what she loves doing, through her skills and experience.
Painting whatever inspires her from nature, combining what's around, with how she feels. This results in a dreamy style with colourful, imaginative artworks.
