Freya grew up in rural Perthshire, and studied Illustration and Printmaking in nearby Dundee. She moved down to Bristol in 2005 where she completed an MA in Multi-Disciplinary printmaking. Whilst there, she co-founded a Printmakers co-operative and gallery with some like minded printfolk.
Freya worked at the co-operative throughout its existence from 2007 to 2012, running screen-printing workshops and curating exhibitions. From her studio there, she fostered her career as a self-employed artist, specialising in Limited Edition Silk-screen prints.
Now living back in rural Scotland, Freya continues to produce limited edition screen prints for exhibition throughout the UK. Her sausage dog Otto regularly features in her work.
